Our rights to save and share seed are under attack around the world. The Global Alliance for Seed Freedom is a "global campaign to alert citizens and governments around the world on how precarious our seed supply has become – and as a consequence how precarious our food security has become".
In Europe the Plant Reproductive Material Law will make it illegal to grow, reproduce or trade any vegetable seed or tree that has not been tested and approved by a new "EU Plant Variety Agency".
