A new video game aims, according to its British creator, to inform people about the conflict in Syria -- people who would otherwise remain unaware of the situation there. In the game, players (as rebels) have to make choices: Should they negotiate with the government, for example, or dispatch fighters? The game is controversial. Some argue that it is a good way to get people thinking about the conflict in Syria, while others say it trivialises the conflict.
In other video game news, a Danish news channel admitted that in a news report on the Syrian civil war, it mistakenly used an image of Damascus that turned out to have been taken from a violent computer game called “Assassin’s Creed”.
