Now that activists can collect the evidence to expose corruption, injustice or violence, how do they make sure it can have impact despite a hostile environment? How do activists defending the environment secure themselves and the sensitive information they're gathering? If scientific evidence can be manipulated or challenged, then what does that mean for environmental justice?
These are some of the questions information-activists have to contend with in their work. In the first issue of the Evidence & Influence Micro-magazine we present the work of partcipants at our Info Activism Camp whose work uses information to bring attention to issues of environment rights and justice. The Micro-magazine was developed through the support and efforts of participants at the Camp.
