Digital tools -- such as mobile phones and social networking tools -- bring new freedoms and means of communication and coordination. But they also bring new restrictions. Since 2005, we have been working with Front Line Defenders to help advocates, independent activists and  journalists understand their digital security and privacy risks and manage their vulnerabilities.
