Tactical Tech hosted a 'Holistic Security' workshop from 26 February to 1 March. The workshop brought together practitioners and trainers working on the digital, physical and psycho-social well-being of human rights defenders from various organisations looking for areas of overlap and need among the three fields, as well as entry points for future collaboration and the development of a more holistic approach to the security and protection of human rights defenders.

As you – hopefully – already know, applications for our upcoming Info Activism Camp are open, but not for long!  We're seeking curious and creative individuals – working in advocacy, data, technology, design and journalism – to join us for a week of discussion, debate and skill-share. The camp will run from 23-30 June at Centro d'Ompio, a beautiful retreat centre in Northern Italy.

We've been busy launching a fabulous new Tactical Tech website which includes all back issues of In the Loop.

Using a website and poster designed and produced by Tactical Studios, Tactical Tech's client service, CEE Bankwatch Network and Friends of the Earth Europe mapped 33 socially and environmentally damaging projects in central and eastern Europe, amounting to EUR16bn and paid for by EU budget cohesion policy funds. We went to Senegal to take part in a  “Workshop on transparency in large-scale land allocations and investments ”. We're working on a visualisation of the world's biggest database of land acquisitions  – to be released in April.

This month will also see the release of 10 Tactics Remixed, a new website with plenty of new examples, ideas and critical discussion about the field of info-activism.

We've been working with two Berlin designers, lots of little wooden sticks and a big table to create a short animation, visualising the 200+ 10 Tactics screenings organised around the world by volunteers. Somephotos of the process so far.
